Learn about the Thermal Power Plant Operator Course
Offered by Senai in Capivari de Baixo in partnership with Diamante, the course is an opportunity for those seeking this type of professional qualification
At the same speed as projects to expand the Brazilian electricity sector are emerging, the need for qualified labor to work in the area of plant operations is also growing.
Nowadays, there is a gap between the availability of trained professionals and the demands of this important economic sector in the country.
The partnership between Diamante Geração de Energia and SENAI-SC – Tubarão/Capivari de Baixo Unit – for the development of the Thermal Power Plant Operator Qualification Course, provides the local community with an opportunity for social insertion and placement of professionals in the job market.
The course is taught on the premises of SENAI in Capivari de Baixo, with direct monitoring by the company through its technical and commercial coordination.
The teaching material used is based on the manuals and drawings of the Jorge Lacerda Complex plants.
In addition, part of the course’s teaching staff is made up of employees of the Diamante company, contributing their practical experience and theoretical knowledge.
Diamante pays 50% of each student’s tuition fee, as well as offering some paid internship positions at its plants.
Through the professional qualification and consequent improvement in the employability of its students, this course brings significant results not only for Diamante, but above all for the community in which it operates, thus participating in the Just Energy Transition process.
